Why are we changing the corporation's gameplay?

For several months now, many of you have been calling for a return to the old system of Corporations (Parties) and POIs. To understand in more depth the weaknesses of the current system and what you liked about the old one, we have spoken on several occasions with Ambassadors and Presidents of Corporations. We realized that the old system, while far from perfect, had certain strengths:

• A daily meeting, which created a daily dynamic that boosted team spirit.
• POIs were more tangible than Lands, and managing them was rewarding (influence and level upgrades).
• The short-term, monthly competition was more dynamic and gave all Corporations a chance to compete each season.
• POIs generated income, which could help individual progression.
• City-wide competition and the principle of government created a much-appreciated local dynamic.

Of course, the POI system wasn't perfect either (POIs impossible to defend, poor ergonomics, lots of farm required for cards and a choice of investment between buildings and POIs). That's why today we're presenting a new simplified system based on what you've come to appreciate about the Party system, while retaining the improvements brought about by Corporations.

Goal

Lands are no longer associated with Corporations, and are replaced by HUBs. As POIs at the time, HUBs are a type of seasonal building that Corporations compete to take and keep control of. As Lands now, HUBs have a score (between 1 and 10), and the aim of Corporations will be to take control of as many HUBs as possible to have the highest score in the city at the end of the season.

How to take control of HUBs

To take control of a HUB, a Corporation must add more shares than the control limit. A system similar to today's, but simplified: the control limit will be set at 65, and can be raised or lowered using Influence cards.

Shares will now be fully recharged once a day (not every hour), and a Corporation will be able to take control of up to 3 HUBs per day.

To take control of a HUB, place Influence cards or Shares on it, you'll now need to be geolocated near the HUB (and not virtually using transport). But don't panic: if a Corporation member is close to the HUB, he or she can launch a RAID to allow teammates to add cards or shares, even from a distance. Although launching a RAID is free and unlimited, joining a RAID is limited. You can join a RAID once a day for free and then you’ll need to use a RAID ticket to participate in additional RAIDS. These RAID Tickets can be exchanged in the Corporation Shop for Royalties.
